Admits 2:

Last November we cared for Schneiderfor 15 days before he was reunited with his Mom.  After being reunited, his Mom left him and his two older sisters with a cousin while she went to Port au Prince to work.  She received a call stating that Schneider was very malnourished and needed to be taken to the hospital or he would die.  She rushed home and took him in.  He had lost over 5 lbs and stayed at the hospital for 2 months.  Mom was recently kicked out of her home as she doesn’t have the means to pay for it on top of his hospital bills.  Schneider has gained a little weight back but is still very fragile and tiny.  If he stays at home there is a good chance he will die.  We have admitted him and will keep him here until he is healthy and his Mom has a chance to get back on her feet.  Please pray for his health and his entire family during this time.

Kesly has been in our formula program since shortly after birth as his Mother was unable to breast feed.  At first he did really well and was about to gradate when he began to consistently loose weight, loosing a total of 2 lbs.  His Mom was recently kicked out of her house and has no where to go with him.  He came to us two weeks ago after having diarrhea and vomiting.  He was very weak and fragile.  His Mom was afraid that if we didn’t admit him he would die and we agreed that that was a very real possibility.

In the short time that we have had him, he has already made great progress.  He is eating well, gaining weight, and beginning to play.  Please pray he gains weight quickly and that his Mom can find a new place to live so that they can be reunited soon.

Discharge 2:

Theo passed away two weeks ago.  He hadn’t been any sicker then normal and even the day before he ate and slept well.  His nannies are greiving his loss as many of them took care of him for 2.5 years.  We are so happy that he is not in pain anymore and at home with his Heavenly Father.

Loudena was reunited with her Grandma and Cousin yesterday!  She lived here for three months and gained 3.5 lbs during her stay here!  We are so excited that this family is back together!  Please pray for her during this time of transition.

Prayer Requests:

Anderlin is still in the Dominican Republic waiting to get life saving surgery for his Spina Bifida.  He has been there over a month and still has not received surgery.  He is going to becoming back to Haiti soon and we hope to have him go to Port au Prince

to have his surgery by a visiting Neurosurgeon.  Please pray for safe travels and good health for him and his Mom.

Building Update:

  • Construction on the new houses is going really well!  The plastering should be finished on the inside of the first house and then we’ll start on the outside!
  • The floor is poured for the second house!
  • The Southern perimeter wall is finished to house number 3, and the trench is being dug for the next section we are adding to it!

Needs

-Diapers: We desperately need more diapers, sizes Newborn to 4′s.  We currently are not receiving enough and have had to buy Haitian made ones.  Normally COTP tries to buy as many of our supplies as possible in Haiti to help support the local economy.  However Haitian diapers are poor quality and leak through almost instantly, causing an unsanitary environment for our children.

If you would be interested in joining our diaper program, and sending us a box a month off of Amazon.com, please contact Nikki Stolberg at cotpnikki@Gmail.com.

-Rice Cereal

-Dove bar soap

-Nutramagin Formula (for our children who struggle to gain weight)

-Sandals size 1-9

Thanks for the update. My husband and I were sad to learn of Theos passing so soon after we were there. We continue to pray for you
