Our babies come to us in many ways. Sometimes a
father brings his child after the mother has died, or
grandmother or aunt may bring an infant when both the mother
and father are gone. Occasionally the hospitals will
have a baby abandoned after birth or left in their
courtyard. They will
contact us to take the child after they have the baby
stabilized.
We will not turn away any baby who is truly in distress.
God has called us here to help the poorest of the poor,
the innocents. Many suffer from AIDS, meningitis,
tuberculosis, severe malnutrition, skin diseases, and
sometimes birth defects. We see Jesus in each child.
Matthew 25:35-40 (Jesus is saying) "For I was
hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and
you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you
invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was
sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came
to visit me." Then the righteous will answer him,
'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty
and give you something to drink? When did we see you a
stranger and invited you in, or needing clothes and clothe
you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to
visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the
truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these
brothers of mine, you did for me.'"
We have changed the layout of our website to protect the
children in our care. Please do
not forward, post, or put their pictures on a web page. (only
the children under "Waiting Babies" are for
adoption).
