Sending Supplies
Attention: Shipping Change
Over the years, we have been blessed by so many generous and faithful individuals sending us packages to Haiti! These gifts have been much appreciated. We have also been blessed by a missionary flight ministry, Agape Flights, who has been responsible for flying in so many boxes over the years.
Recently, we decided to change the way we handle shipments of supplies into Haiti. As our needs have grown and resources become cheaper and more available in Haiti, it makes more sense for us to buy more products in Haiti. As you know, it costs COTP $2 per pound to ship products through Agape. What you may not know is that Agape pays an additional $4 per pound to offer this ministry. This is all on top of what you pay to ship it to FL! When all is said and done, at times the cost of shipping is higher than the worth of the supply.
We continue to encourage the following supplies to be sent to Haiti via Agape: Diapers, Disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, kids snacks (cereal, fruit snacks, granola bars) If you do ship any of these items, we do continue to appreciate a donation to cover our shipping. Agape also appreciates donations for the portion of the shipping that they cover as a ministry. You can find out more about them and donate on their website:
If you have any other items you would like to donate to COTP that are not listed above, please contact us at cotpdirector@gmail.com prior to shipping.
As a part of this change, each of our staff members in Haiti will have personal Agape Missionary Member accounts. If you would like to send a personal package to one of our international staff members serving in Haiti, please ask that staff member for further shipping details.
We are often asked how one goes about sending supplies to Haiti.
In northern Haiti there is no UPS, Fed-Ex, USPS, or any other way to mail items. Agape flights offers its services to COTP to process all of our incoming mail.

First, mail is shipped to their hanger in Venice, FL. When packages arrive in Venice they are weighed and sorted. Agape flies to Cap Haitian every Thursday. We meet them on the tarmac, help unload the plane and sort the mail for all of the missionaries. Once the mail is sorted it passes through customs.
There is no set price for customs. It generally ranges between 50 and 75 cents a pound. Agape is very careful about taking good care of boxes and letters. It is extremely rare to have a package not make it to us.
Purchasing items online and having them shipped to Florida is a very cost effective way of getting items here, since most online retailers offer free shipping. Thank you to all of our regular supporters who keep us stocked with so many supplies. COTP incures a cost of nearly $2.00 per pound for all of the boxes that you send. We say this not to discourage you to donate items, but to consider whether or not what you are sending is cost effective. We gladly welcome financial donations to help cover the cost of boxes being sent. If you would like to help with this cost you can send a check to the following addresses (based on where your from). Make sure you include a note specifying that the check is for shipping!
