Conner is from Minneapolis MN. He studied international development at Trinity Western University, and has a background in social work with individuals struggling with mental health issues, homelessness, poverty, and substance abuse. Conner met his wife, Renee, at Trinity Western University in British Columbia. Renee came across Children of the Promise about ten years ago and went to serve with COTP in Haiti for six months. She fell in love with the country and its people during her time there and always hoped to return. Her time serving sick children at COTP was also a large influence in her going to university to pursue nursing. Conner and Renee got married and shortly thereafter took a trip to volunteer at COTP, during which Conner also fell in love with Haiti and the work COTP is doing there. Since their time at COTP in 2011, Conner completed a Masters degree in Social Work, Renee worked as a nurse in labour and delivery, they moved from BC to Ontario, and they now have three children. Feeling passionate about and called to support the amazing work of COTP in Haiti, Conner and Renee work towards spreading the story of Children of the Promise in Canada. Conner’s specific focus at COTP is to work with our program staff as we continue to build our programs to most effectively accomplish our goal of a healthy, Christian home and family for every Haitian child.
