Wilson grew up in Lagossette, Haiti with his mom and brothers. As he grew up, it became obvious how mechanically minded and quick to learn he was. He began working for COTP doing all things handyman the year before Sheila, coming from Huntington Beach, California, moved to Haiti as COTP’s nurse. Brought together by their love for God and the kids they served, Wilson and Sheila were married 2 years later in 2013. After a difficult year apart, and then a whirlwind year together in the United States, in which Wilson earned his U.S. citizenship, they moved back to COTP in February 2016. Both Wilson and Sheila are very passionate about helping every child reach their full potential, especially those with special needs. The desire to provide exceptional care to children with special needs led them to their current role as house parents of 8 amazing kids in the Promise House.
