Tori is from Ohio and prior to moving to Haiti was pursuing a degree in Social Work, working as a nanny, and serving with AmeriCorps in Georgia. Tori first came to Haiti in June of 2011 when she was on a trip to see where she would be living. In September 2011, she moved to Port au Prince to oversee a sewing ministry. After ten months, she left the organization because she knew she needed to be working directly with children but still desired to be in Haiti. She learned of COTP through the internet and came down to fill the role of a preschool teacher in October of 2012. Over the years working with COTP, Tori has built a passion for the many special needs kids at COTP. In 2014, Tori began overseeing the Therapy program for these kids. As child homes further developed on campus, Tori moved into the Life House to serve as a child home parent for the children living in the Life house.
