Paving the way for Inclusive Education in Northern Haiti
Institution Chrétienne Enfants de la Promesse (ICEP) provides Christian education to more than 300 students from Pre-K through 9th grade. Through the dedication of Haitian teachers and staff, ICEP is pioneering inclusive education by building a school where children of all abilities learn together. In doing so, ICEP is helping change the narrative across Haiti, demonstrating that children with disabilities are created with purpose and deserve equal access to education.
Heart for Inclusion
We are building a school where children with disabilities not only belong but receive the specialized support they need to thrive. Our classrooms are designed to be safe, supportive spaces for children of all abilities.
Family Support
Beyond the classroom, we are exploring new and creative ways to walk alongside the vulnerable families of our students. This means offering parent support services that strengthen homes and build stronger futures.
Beacon of Hope
ICEP gives hope to vulnerable families through quality education for their children and a Haitian-led school staff who serve as daily role models; showing students the opportunities education can unlock.
Nutritional Support
All students and staff receive a hot and nutritious mid-day meal. For many, this is the only nutritious meal they will eat that day. This is an important part of keeping students engaged and learning.
